Hello,
After giving access to a (dubious) remote repair company, it seems there is still something on my PC that would allow them to regain control with ConnectWise Control.
Indeed, when I connect via Wi-Fi, a message appears stating:
ScreenConnect Client
ConnectWiseControl
Untitled session
Waiting for your host….
How can I ensure that they can no longer regain control? At first glance, I have no software or extensions installed?

If you contacted them because of an error message with a phone number to call: it's a scam.
This is a telephone support scam designed to make you believe that your PC is infected, so that you call a support line...
The aim of this support is to reassure you that your computer is infected, ultimately leading you to purchase high-priced software or subscribe to remote support services, all for costs exceeding 150 euros.
These fake virus messages aim to block the web browser and indicate that the PC is infected; they originate from:
- advertisements on illegal streaming/torrent sites
- Facebook ads also disseminate them.

Go to the Control Panel
then Programs and Features.
Sort the list by date by clicking on the column.
Uninstall all software that was installed on the day of the takeover.

To check your computer for possible infections and get a general status of the system:
Follow the FRST tutorial by clicking on this blue link. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).
Download and run the FRST scan,
wait for the scan to finish; a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.
Three FRST reports will be generated:
Send these 3 reports to the website https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ and in return, provide the 3 pjjoint links that lead to the reports here in a new reply so that we can review them.
