Epson XP 510 Ink Pad Error

The manual, on page 132 states:

"If you have tried all solutions without being able to solve the problem, reset the Epson scan settings.
Click on 'Configuration', select the 'Other' tab, then click on 'Reset All'."

For your information, I found on eBay by typing "EPSON XP510 reset" a CD or a link command to get it more quickly, for software that resets the printer's counters to zero.
I'm not an expert but I managed to follow the explained and illustrated steps.
So programmed obsolescence is not a fatality????
To do this, type the model of your printer for about 5 euros for the link.
About 10 euros for the CD.
Cheaper than buying a new printer!
