Hello,

Could you let me know if it's possible to upgrade or change the RAM on my THOMSON, NEO15C? I'm not looking to game with it; I just want it to be a bit more responsive.
Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 76.0.3809.100

    Hello

No info on this PC, so it's hard to say if it's upgradeable. If it's possible to change or add, moving to 8 GB will improve things a bit in usage, but nothing will be miraculous.

    Best regards

Maybe contact the brand for more information. There seem to be several variations of this model.

difficult or impossible? I know it's not a powerhouse, but 5 minutes to open Word seems long to me.

It's not unusual if the processor is overwhelmed by the usage you're putting it through and the software running in the background...

I imagine that changing the processor is just as difficult.

      Impossible, in itself.

Because there are a whole series of technical and material constraints that do not allow it.

Hello, I just looked at 4 GB of RAM and a slow processor for Windows 10. I don’t think the motherboard supports RAM higher than 2 GB. You should have 2 sticks of 2 GB, check with Speccy

Thank you very much for your responses.
I bought a low-end computer because I'm not a gamer and I use it exclusively for office work and browsing the internet.
But it is slow to start up, I don't want a powerhouse, but something that is slightly more responsive.
    I will check with Speccy.

      I'm not a gamer either
      I don't play any games
but I would never buy this kind of little PC

Alright, I think we've got it, jfmimi. It doesn't help us. The PC is already bought so we won't dwell on what shouldn't be done.
Let's get back to the topic and the question.

    Hello,

You currently have 4GB of RAM, and it's difficult to add more to this model. Even if you could, it wouldn't make the machine any faster.

The slowdowns are due to the processor, which is very slow and not powerful. We won't be able to turn it into something faster, even by adding RAM.

Just because you put a Ferrari body on a 2CV, it doesn't make it equally fast, unfortunately.

when you buy a low-end PC you shouldn't expect miracles

      Usefulness of the comment?
We know it's not a racing machine. But providing an answer to the question is better, isn't it?

        It's just a reflection
and these are PCs that are slow and we can't do much
we get what we pay for, that's all
