Hello, I have come back to you. As I mentioned, I am a beginner in databases. The project I was assigned is normally meant for two people, a computer scientist (developer) and someone from my field, but I'm doing it alone. I have tried to do what I can; I have gathered some information, but the company is asking for a (computer support) in the end, meaning everything I have done needs to be stored in a database, like an application that allows them to store the data they need to use in the company. I try to make them understand that I am not a computer scientist, but it's very hard right now. It’s not their problem; they just want the result. So at noon, I decided to go with PostgreSQL as a solution to reach my goal. I have put my information in Excel, and I tried to create tables in PostgreSQL for each column to input the information, and I feel like I could finish this in years. So I would like to have an interface to make my task easier. Is the option I have chosen the right path to achieve this? What do you think? If someone has had this case before, can they help me out or provide source codes to modify? The idea is that for example: I have different electrical networks, when I click on one, I find sub-networks, and when I click on that, I find the owner, and when I click on that, I find the manager, and in the end, I have an electric schematic file or the folder... I really reach out to the developer and all the expertise to help me conclude this project, please.

Next... this is a "new" question that has nothing to do with your password issue (the theme of this discussion.). Therefore, you should have marked this topic as RESOLVED and opened a new discussion related to your "new" concern.

And to finish..... PostGreSql is a DATABASE engine .... it is only used to STORE information...(what a strange idea to have used that one anyway... especially if you are a complete beginner in the field.... )

To display them... you will have to code a program that will read this data and display it as you wish..... (by creating a website using languages like PHP / HTML / CSS / JS for example)
Or by developing a "client" in C#, VB.NET, JAVA .. or any other advanced language...

Otherwise.. you still have the option to do everything again in ACCESS
There you will have both the database ... and the tools (via a bit of VBA) to create your interfaces...

In any case.... It all depends on your needs and constraints... Network access or not?
Simultaneous access from multiple users?
Management of access rights to information?
Amount of data to store?
Do you have a server or are you working exclusively "locally" on your computer?

In short... such a project cannot be improvised.... and given what you are explaining to us (and the way you are doing it...) you seem to be off to a bad start...
