Hello,
Due to issues with DROPBOX, I would like to copy a file contained in the DROPBOX directory to an external hard drive.
It tells me "the file *** has properties that cannot be copied to the new location".
What should I do????
It's very important to me.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I had forgotten: to launch msconfig
you need to type "msconfig" at the bottom left of the screen
"type here to search"

Sincere regards (bihotzez)

Thank you.
One solution would be to open this file, then save it in the new location.
Possibly with "bis" if it doesn't work with the original name.
But in principle, it should work.
I regularly perform this maneuver when I want to use the same base file for something else.
For example, "Mail Jacques" > save as "Mail Aline". (Then I modify the text of the mail, but that's another subject).

To open a file, here is a method.
- You need to click on "Explorer." (or click on the icon representing an open folder (light yellow color)
- An "Documents" tab will appear,
- Click on Documents and a list of folders will appear.
- Your file is either in "Documents" or in one of the folders (in which case, you need to look at the names one by one to visualize it).
- Then you position your cursor (with the mouse) on that folder and you make a "right-click".
- At that moment, a dropdown menu appears presenting several options:
"Open" straightforwardly, and also "Open with"
- You click on "Open with"... a new menu appears naming all the software with which you can open this file.
- It’s up to you to test them one after the other to see which one works.
For your information, there are "Open with: Notepad, WordPad, Internet Explorer, Open Office, Paint, etc..
(Sometimes when the list is too long, you see "more options", if you click on "more options", you have even more choices. It all depends on the number of programs installed on your computer.
