Will a second film of "The Host" be released?

I would like to know if there will be a second movie of "The Host" and if so, when it will be released in theaters?

    Evidently not, at least for now. It's an adaptation of a book by Stephenie Meyer and she hasn't written the sequel yet (if she ever does).
    So, no 2nd book, no 2nd movie..
    I don't think it's the answer you were hoping for, sorry!
    You can try reading the book, if you haven't already, to get back to the universe that inspired the film.

      It's true that it's not the answer I would have hoped for, but thank you, it's not a big deal, I will try to get the book and read it. :)

        I haven't read it, but many people liked it. It's also nice in that sense, discovering a book after a movie. Enjoy your reading!
