Hello everyone,
I am developing a website that offers online videos and to expand its use, I would like to complement it with access on mobile phones. My videos are available in FLV for the site and browsing on PC, but for mobiles, I would like to offer a 3GP file. Streaming on mobile is a huge hassle to set up, so I just want to provide a link to download this 3GP file.
Does anyone know the syntax to force the download instead of opening the proposed file?
<a href="file_name">download the file</a> opens the file but it is impossible to save it on the mobile, and therefore to watch it because apparently the 3GP can only be played from a saved file and not online.

You need to explain to me how to right-click on a mobile... The goal is to offer the download of video in 3gp format when visiting the site from a mobile (cell phone).

I understand the confusion between portable PCs and mobile phones. While browsing the forums, I gathered that some server solutions allow video streaming for 3gp, which is for "mobile phones". I will try to find out more, but the question remains open as it offers an alternative to lighter navigation on phones, knowing that billing is often based on the downloaded weight.

In fact, the solution is not to download from the phone (which is very expensive, indeed price/KB) but rather to offer a site with videos in 3gp format to download that can simply be transferred from the PC to the mobile via a cable or bluetooth.
In the meantime, here is a free link to convert videos without installing anything on the PC... and generate a link to download an image file, video, etc. from the mobile (watch out for the phone bill!!!) or the PC

have you found a solution? If so, I'm interested because I'm asking myself the same question as you... and real streaming solutions do indeed seem quite complicated or expensive to implement. -
