Hello,
I can't find the driver for my Panasonic SDR-H20 camcorder. The computer recognizes it but can't find the driver, so I can't find my HDD in the workstation. Do you have a website that could find it for me? Or another driver from the SDR range? Thank you.

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out because the CD that was provided with the camcorder is broken and I had to format my computer where it was installed. Does anyone have an idea of a website where I can download it or where I can find a copy of the CD? Thank you for any help or suggestions ;-)

Hello Bruno,
I'm sorry I couldn't find a satisfactory solution.
I tried a lot of things:
- At first, I just changed the file name from .mod to .mpeg, but the problem is: it can't be read on video editing software or there's no sound.
- I tried a lot of transformation software!!!! I can transform the file correctly, it plays easily. In particular, what worked well is transforming the .mod file to .mpeg, BUT there's no sound on the editing software!!!! Anyway, I'm fed up!!!!
My camcorder is the Panasonic SDR-H20, it's very easy to use but it's really not made for editing!!! I'm very disappointed!! -

Hello
I have the same camcorder, and under Vista, the drivers installed automatically (or so I think)
But the problem is that I can't convert the files to MPEG-2 because the file is MOD.
Do you know how we can convert it to AVI or other more common file formats? Or is there a setting to directly have the files in MPEG-2?
Thank you -
Hello Cyriaque,
Your last message was about 15 days ago. I have the exact same issue. Have you found a solution? Thank you. -
Hi Cyriaque,
thank you for taking some time to reply to me. I also spent hours searching on my side, but without success. Almost, but I might still need your help. I found a file conversion program: AVS converter. The only problem is that it's the demo version, available for free download. It's impossible to access the full version. The serial number is either unavailable or, in any case, invalid. You will understand why I am reaching out to you. I believe it’s a way to convert our .mod files to .avi or .mpeg and then work on them with editing software. In any case, there are no audio or video issues.
Thanks again for your help, we will make it. Bye! -
Hi everyone
I just read your problems but I don't understand because I easily succeeded in transferring my videos to my computer and playing them, however, I didn't find the thing to burn them. -
Hello everyone,
I am still struggling with the acquisition and editing of video files from my Panasonic SDR-H20 camcorder, so I would like to buy software that would allow me to do it.
I am thinking about Pinnacle, what do you think?
Thank you

Hello everyone!
My father has the same camcorder, Panasonic SDR H20, and indeed, it's impossible to get films in any format other than .MOD, which is really, really not practical!
As for converters like AVS, it seems that converting the videos is the only way to get a format other than MOD, I recommend buying one, as no free version allows for a satisfactory result...
For video editing, Pinnacle is good but heavy (I hope you have a very powerful PC!). Other software: Cyberlink Power Director / Adobe Premiere Elements / Liquid Pro 6 (also very heavy but excellent!) or for beginners, the must-have Windows Movie Maker! =)
Best regards,
Antoine-
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I'm not sure if you'll see my reply, but I have the same camcorder and I resolved the file conversion issue with a software that works very well for all types of audio and video files:
The software is called: super
You can download it from the following link: https://www.clubic.com/telecharger-fiche19891-super.html
However, my camcorder is no longer functioning; it asks me to reset it as soon as I turn it on. Is there a way to format it and completely reinstall my device?

Urgent, I lost the installation CD for my SDR H20 and changed computers. Who could lend me their installation CD? Or can someone tell me where I can get one?
I absolutely need to transfer the movies from my camera to my computer, so I'm really, really worried.
Thank you very much.
