Call from there police station by a mobile number 06

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone has ever received a call from the "gendarmerie" coming from a mobile number.

In short, I received a call from a 06 number, not knowing the number, I let it ring, then I see that I have a message on my voicemail telling me that it's the gendarmerie, *** brigade, and that I need to call back the number displayed.
I don't know the reason or the person who tried to contact me in the message left.
Can someone tell me if this is normal?

    That seems completely abnormal to me.

    - There’s no reason for the Gendarmerie to know your mobile number.
    - The gendarmes certainly have mobile phones. But the message you received allows anyone to impersonate a gendarme. So, it is certainly not a method of contact that gendarmes use.

    To be sure, you can always call 17.

      They might very well have his number, I don't agree.
      The best thing to do is to call the relevant gendarmerie directly and ask if the person is indeed available (or works here).

      If that's not the case, then file a complaint...

      They already called him from a mobile number regarding a complaint I had made several years ago.
