Soundbar on Sony TV?

it has a jack output (which also serves as optical if you use a simple adapter on the optical cable
what is the reference (model) of this TV?

Normally, this TV has an optical output without an adapter; I think you just need a standard optical cable, but I could be wrong.

No, I looked carefully, no classic optical output
Sony does the least possible in terms of connectivity; they really take advantage (and TV from 2017!).

Actually, I just got an optical cable from a friend and strangely enough, the sound (from the soundbar) is better when I choose the TV speaker option (the other choice is audio system but the sound is worse, weird).
Of course, I set the TV volume to zero, otherwise the sounds from the TV and the soundbar overlap.
So as I mentioned above, if I choose the audio system option, the TV sound disappears which is normal (no need to set the volume to zero), but the sound from the soundbar is worse even though I should be choosing the audio system option?
