Add a contact to a group

Hello,

I am unable to add a contact from the SIM card on my Galaxy A5 2017 to a specific group after creating it.
I know I'm not very good at all this! But it seems really convenient.
I tried going to contact→groups→group name→edit→add a member, and to my surprise, my newly added contact doesn't appear?

Does anyone know? Thank you very much for your help.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 63.0

    Hello

Have you at least chosen in your phone app to display all contacts, including those on your SIM? Ideally, export all your contacts to your Google Gmail account. They will be safe there, and you'll never lose them, even if, for some reason, you break your phone or have a bug, so everything stored in the internal memory would be lost. The same goes for your photos on the microSD, etc...

Ah, okay. I've displayed all the contacts. Is it easy to export to the Google account?
Thank you for all this information.

Yes, it's easy. Open your contacts app, then tap on the menu, then import/export, and export to Gmail. Once done, still in your contacts app, choose to display only those from Gmail, which prevents you from seeing the same contacts multiple times between Gmail, the phone, and the SIM.
