I can't remove Ecosia.

Hello everyone,

I installed the ECOSIA search engine as a Safari extension on my MacBook a few days ago.
Realizing that this was probably a big scam, I decided to get rid of it: however, this turned out to be impossible.
I did some research and it apparently requires installing programs (or other things whose names I didn't remember) to completely remove it.

Could you please explain a simple and effective process to safely remove it?

    Remove it with MBAM for Mac (free version).
