Hello,
I recently made a backup for an Android phone and I would like to open the file that contains the data such as photos, contacts, etc.
The problem is that under Windows I can't open the file. I renamed it to .sql but it opens in Notepad.
How can I open it?
Have a good day

    Hello
The .backup file is created by Android to be used only on Android
To restore the files, hold the power button and the volume button when the phone is turned off and choose the .backup file
I think it is only encoded to be opened by Android, and therefore you cannot open it with Windows

      Hello,
thank you for the info! I can't restore it because when I do, the security (the code) comes back and I've forgotten it since it's an old phone. I still would have liked to recover the data.
Thanks again and have a great day!

    Hello,

The .sql files are for ... SQL .... (the language used in DATABASES).
So it's normal that it doesn't work!

Regarding your backup.. how did you do it?
There are solutions/software for that... for example:

      Oh okay, thanks!
I made the backup through recovery mode (by pressing the power and volume buttons when it starts up).
      Have a good day!
