I'm opening this post so we can discuss the professionalism of the site Elec-auto.com.
For my part, I'll get straight to the point; I ordered a steering wheel control device at the end of July. The product was listed as in stock, but it turned out not to be. I received this order more than 6 weeks later.
After receiving it, I had the product installed by a professional and to my surprise, half of the buttons didn't work. Upon checking, I realized that the reference did not match the product I ordered.
I contacted the seller about this and they insist that the product is the right one. I requested a return and was told I had to pay the shipping costs; moreover, the seller doesn't want to refund me but instead wants to issue a credit note.
On top of that, it's impossible to reach the seller by phone except through a premium rate number at over €2 a minute, while the law states that every e-commerce site must have a free contact number.

Anyway, you got it – stay away from elec-auto.com.

    If the product reference does not match what was ordered, there is non-conformity. This is the subject of Articles L217-4 to L217-14 of the Consumer Code. Read these Articles.

    Return at the seller's expense!

    Replacement with the correct product.

    If nothing is resolved after 30 days, the Customer has a legal right to a refund.

    Act by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, citing the applicable articles. Given the smoke and mirrors practiced by the seller, draft the letter as a Formal Notice to replace within 10 days.

    HELLO yes, it’s a scammer. He has a technique to make the package show as out for delivery even though he has taken the package and he responds to our emails saying that the package is still out for delivery. I can’t refund you, it’s been in delivery for a month... 85€. We are going to file a complaint.

      Hello everyone, and to continue in this vein, I would like to share my suspicion regarding the site elec-auto.com. Indeed, I also ordered a device to connect USB in my vehicle for around sixty euros on Sunday, January 14, 2019. To this day, my order status remains "payment accepted." I have been charged, but the order is not progressing. You might say it has only been a few days. Indeed, but I tried to contact the site to know the status and the delivery times. And this evening around 9 PM, I received an email that seemed like a copy-paste, informing me that my package had not been scanned by the postal service. Consequently, the postal service had opened a dispute case. So basically, if we translate this, it mainly means he thinks I'm an idiot. I doubt this package has even been sent by the postal service. I requested the tracking number since it's supposed to be a tracked delivery requiring a signature according to the site, and no more news....

    Given the 50 five-star reviews, I eventually placed my order on this site for a steering wheel control interface.
    First, I had to wait 2 weeks to receive the item (after 3 follow-ups), then return the unit due to problems.
    In the end, the infamous exchange happened after 10 days of waiting but with the same issues. This is normal, since it’s the same unit without any repairs.
    Customer service takes 3 days to respond to messages with 3-word replies similar to text messages to cut it short, without any apologies, not even a polite term, NOTHING!
    Commercially speaking, I have never seen such a case. Chinese sites are more efficient, more responsive, and above all, much more polite than this!
    Don't fall into the trap like I did, those are just fake and misleading reviews you see on their site. As for the price, you can find it elsewhere for €50.
    I left this review on their site, and they censored it!

      Exactly the same thing except that I haven't received the article yet... in addition to having deleted my comments on his site, he has blocked my email address so I can't even reply to him.

    If you paid through PayPal, it's good; I was able to get my money back. I filed a complaint with the DGCCRF and they contacted her... do the same thing.

    Hello everyone.

    So I'm speaking for all those who purchased with their credit card on the elec-auto site.
    On July 1st, I ordered an interface for my vehicle and on July 2nd, they confirmed the shipment. On the 5th, I went to the Colissimo website to see where my package was and I noticed it was at the same stage (your package will be picked up by the sender). So I sent an email to customer service, and they replied saying it was due to Covid-19. For your information, despite Covid, I ordered from other sites and received all my orders on time.
    So I contacted Colissimo customer service who told me that the package had not been transmitted to them. I let the week go by.
    The following Monday, I checked again and found it was at the same point. So I sent emails to customer service. To my great surprise, ???? no response. I contacted Colissimo who told me they hadn’t received anything, that some senders play with this, and it might be a scam. So I filed a complaint with the DGCCRF of Sarthe (where Elec-auto's headquarters is located) and sent a registered letter of formal notice. Then I emailed customer service to inform them of this. 2 hours later, I received an email from customer service ???? saying they would reimburse me. The next day, I was refunded. So my letter didn't even have time to arrive.
    So that's the process to follow for any scam sites. And above all, AVOID THIS SITE.

    I have the same problem with ELEC AUTO.COM. I ordered and paid but I haven't received anything!

    I confirm, Elec-auto should be avoided. An ordered item that I went to pick up on the last day of the deadline (I was on vacation) had already been returned (the parcel relay sent everything back earlier because it was closing for its holidays).
    The parcel relay indicates that it delivered the package, but Elec-auto claims otherwise and says it's not their problem. Overall, I lost 100 euros and it’s impossible to get a responsible person worth their salt.
    There you go, I hope my experience will be useful to others.

    forget it, block the card immediately!! It's a scammer even if you receive the package, no guarantee, he's a thief, I have his address and we think of visiting him to invite him for a drink.

    I too have been taken for a fool by this seller. I ordered a Bluetooth interface that arrived on time, but the problem is it doesn't match what I ordered. I sent an email and a certain Julien replied to me in an email at 9 PM saying that the product was indeed compliant. I asked to initiate the refund process, but no more response! We'll see what happens.
    But indeed, avoid this site!

      Make a chargeback on your credit card or PayPal because the product is not compliant. Don't try to communicate with him; he's a scammer. He's been doing this all year long; I don't know for how long, but he must have scammed a lot of people...

      After checking, it doesn't seem possible to dispute a credit card payment. Once the purchase is made, you cannot go back.
      I also realized that a cord and the manual were missing from the pack. I informed him by email. If I don't receive a response by Monday, I'll consider another way to proceed.

    Hello,
    I come to contribute to denouncing the site Elec-Auto because my experience with them was similar to those mentioned here (ordered item but not shipped, Colissimo tracking indicated "package not yet taken in charge by La Poste"). The techniques and excuses are identical. Thanks to my payment through Paypal, I was able to resolve the situation by opening a dispute and putting pressure on them by providing documentation: order, follow-up letters, Colissimo tracking, invoice, paid payment, finally everything that might seem useful to you. The next day, the package was taken in charge by La Poste and arrived 48 hours later. I hope I won't need to involve the warranty given the troubles I've already endured.
    Even though the prices are attractive, I will not order from Elec-Auto again because the risk of losing everything is too high.
    The lack of communication by phone does not allow for a direct and honest exchange.

    I placed an order with elec auto on 16-08-2020.
    A few days later, I received my order, but unfortunately, it wasn't the right one (my mistake).
    I contacted the seller to request an exchange/return (and I told him that I am also willing to pay), my emails have gone unanswered to this day.
    They boast about being a serious company, but that is far from the case.
    I insist and insist that no one buy from this thief and invite customers who have been scammed by this crook to file a complaint.
    I have sent a formal notice, and if I get no response, I will file a complaint.
