K800 Logitech

Hello,
I have two K800 keyboards. One of them has been unused for over a year.
I put it back in service, but the charging doesn't work: there is only a flashing red light instead of the three green lights that scroll one after the other.
However, the keyboard works with the USB cable; without it, it doesn't respond anymore.
I took a look at the battery compartment but didn't dare to do more.
Is there a way for the charging with the USB cable to work again?

    No doubt I will continue to use this keyboard with its cable and..... the flashing red light!

      These are just two rechargeable Ni-MH AA 1.2V 2000mAh batteries... nothing complicated or spectacular: just unscrew, replace the batteries, and you're good to go... ;)
