Hello everyone,

I encountered a problem today while installing the new update for Windows 10; I can no longer boot it normally. My PC displays the following message on a blue background after starting up:
"Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC
Click on "Advanced options" to try other PC repair options or on "Shutdown" to turn off your PC
Log file D:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt "

I tried to restore the system but have no restore point.
I tried the system restart tool and to downgrade to the previous version without success.
I also tried to reset my PC while keeping my files, but that didn't work either.

I would like to recover my data and get my PC running normally again.

Thank you in advance.

Hello, for the PC, in the Control Panel click on Backup and Restore, then you need to create a repair disk with a DVD and with an external hard drive connected to the PC, then create a system image, on one of the DVDs you need to make a backup to restore files.

Exactly the same problem. Can you explain to me what the issue is caused by? And do I absolutely need to follow the indicated procedures or do you think my computer can still work?

This problem can have multiple causes. In good cases, a "hard" reboot (cutting the power on a desktop PC, or a long press on the power button on a laptop) is enough.
But sometimes that doesn’t work and automatic repair keeps offering itself in a loop with systematic failure..
The problem can have a hardware cause, particularly poor connections or oxidized contacts on the memory. Especially if you live near the sea. You just need to reseat the memory (one by one), spray their slots with "kontakt 60" or a similar product, and put them back in place. Don't hesitate to manipulate their lock several times to evenly distribute the product. Once this is done, restart the PC, automatic repair is suggested, but this time it succeeds.
Best regards to all
