Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC. Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

I encountered a problem today while installing the new update for Windows 10; I can no longer boot it normally. My PC displays the following message on a blue background after starting up:
"Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC
Click on "Advanced options" to try other PC repair options or on "Shutdown" to turn off your PC
Log file D:\Recovery\WindowsRE\Winre.wim\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt "

I tried to restore the system but have no restore point.
I tried the system restart tool and to downgrade to the previous version without success.
I also tried to reset my PC while keeping my files, but that didn't work either.

I would like to recover my data and get my PC running normally again.

Hello, for the PC, in the Control Panel click on Backup and Restore, then you need to create a repair disk with a DVD and with an external hard drive connected to the PC, then create a system image, on one of the DVDs you need to make a backup to restore files.

If the registry manipulation doesn't work, it's dead, you'll need to reinstall Windows.
Generally, this happens when the main partition has a problem or the Windows registry is corrupted.

I tried to reset my PC while keeping my files, but that didn't work either.

If the reset doesn't work, I suspect a problem with the partition.

From the command prompt:

type diskpart and hit enter

Give the results of the following commands:


list disk
sel disk 0
list partition
list volume
exit

Provide a screenshot of the result.

ok,   Reinstalling Windows 10 without formatting:  Follow this tutorial that explains how to install Windows 10: how to install Windows 10. All the steps are provided from A to Z with tips at the end to secure Windows 10.  The steps are basically:  Download the Windows 10 installation ISO: https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10 (other download methods: https://www.malekal.com/telecharger-iso-windows/ ).  Create the installation media using Media Creation Tool, more info: https://www.malekal.com/windows-10-media-creation-tool/  Boot from it by changing the boot sequence and indicating the USB drive or DVD: How to boot the computer from USB drive If the USB drive doesn't work, try to recreate it with Rufus: how to download Rufus - see this tutorial for details: how to create a Windows installation USB drive  Let yourself be guided to install Windows 10.  Choose custom (not upgrade)  During the partition phase, select the main partition and click next.  The installer will tell you that Windows is already present and offer to move it.  Follow the Windows installation procedure using the tutorial above.  Just don't format.  Your user data will be copied to the Windows.old folder.
