Hello everyone,

I need help because I'm having an issue with installing an SSD on a laptop which is an MSI GP62 2QE Leopard Pro.

There's a slot for an SSD on the motherboard, I bought an SSD which is the Samsung 970 Evo (M2 NVMe).

When I install the SSD, the laptop doesn't start at all, it won't turn on. When the SSD is removed, it starts up. I updated the BIOS, but that didn't help.

I think the NVMe SSD might not be compatible with the laptop... After hours of research, I can't really find the answer. If the SSD is not compatible, which one should I get, please?

Here are photos of the SSD and the slot on the motherboard:

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Best regards,

    Hello,
Check the boot order in the BIOS; the hard drive needs to be set as the first boot device, not the SSD.
