Unreadable PDF file

Question

Hello everyone! For almost three to four months now, I have been experiencing problems when opening some of my PDF files. Indeed, a folder containing all my PDF files was transferred from one computer to another via a USB stick by my own boss for several reasons. Since then, I can access some PDFs while others are inaccessible. When I use PDF-XCHANGE or Acrobat Reader DC, the same error message appears. Could someone please help me??? Thanks!!

Nevertheless, I will send you what is written.
I used Adobe Acrobat Reader and PDF-XChange Viewer to open the files after the transfer.

-On Adobe Acrobat Reader, here is the message that appears: Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open "Fiscalité en poche 2015 t411.pdf" because the file type is not supported or may be damaged (it was sent as an attachment and was not decoded correctly, for example).

-On PDF-XChange Viewer: Error opening document "C:/Users/Progression/Desktop/Fiscalité en poche 2015 t411.pdf": Error [PDF Structure 40]: Invalid file format

Hello, will updating your PDF reader as indicated on the Adobe site make a difference?  -- The forum members are not clairvoyants, at least I’m not!
