Hello,
I would like to talk to you about a problem I've been experiencing for a few days, as I can't find the answer anywhere.
Explanation: I have the well-known issue with the new "GDPR" law, as it seems, which states that you must be 16 years old to have a Gmail, Google account, etc.
My account shows I'm 15 for another 3 days, after which I'll be 16. At first, everything was fine, but I wanted to change my age to see something, and then I reverted to my real date. And then my account was "disabled" because I don't meet the age requirement to have a Google account.
So, two options are available to me:
- Pay $0.30 to prove that I have a credit card.
- Send an ID card.
Currently, I have 27 days left before my account is completely closed.
MY PROBLEM: Neither of the two solutions is working. My parents have tried their credit cards; it always shows an error message. They also sent one of their ID cards, without success.
- Do you know what I should do?
- Will my account be automatically unlocked on my 16th birthday?
I called Google France, but you can't speak directly to someone, so I didn't get my answer.
I really need this account, as all my other online accounts are linked to it!

It happened to me on my Twitter account, but unfortunately, I had no choice but to create a new account. On your 16th birthday, your account will be unlocked, at least that's what I think.
Do you know what I should do? :
- Create a new Google account and link your email again to all your other accounts on the Internet.
- Try to contact Google through their forum or on their Twitter account.
Will my account be unlocked automatically on my 16th birthday? :
- If your 16th birthday doesn't come within the 27 days that follow, it will be complicated :/
