Hello,

I just bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 120S-11IAP Ultra-Portable PC and I can’t install apps outside of the Windows Store, Chrome in particular.

I looked in the “Apps & features” settings for the “App installation” tab, but it doesn't exist.

When I try to install Chrome, the blocking message says “Do you still want to install apps from a source other than the Windows Store? Follow the procedure,” but when I click, I’m taken back to the Windows Store.

I don’t want to believe it's a conspiracy.

How can I fix this?

Thank you in advance

Thank you, that was indeed what was blocking me, and I switched to Windows Professional, it's working now, I can install whatever I want.

From the Windows Store, you can switch to the non-S version.
The link may be accessible from the Windows 10 settings > Update & security and activation on the left.

Hello,

Press Windows + R
type winver and OK.
Check if you have Windows 10 S.
In that case, you are limited to Windows Store applications.
