On my Epson XP 315 printer, I cannot change the paper type; I have no choice but photo paper. Thank you for your response.

The type of paper depends on what is available with the printer driver...
Sometimes it also depends on the paper format... if you select the 13x18 format, it may only be available for "photo" quality in the driver...
The selection of paper quality affects how the printing is done... with the "photo" mode, the printer will use high definition... whereas with ordinary paper, it will be more like "text" mode!
