Hello,
I have a Canon IR 2525 printer connected to the network. Following its manual, I was able to set its IP address via the control panel but unfortunately every time I turn it off I lose this configuration, even though I followed the manual carefully. Please, does anyone have an idea?
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 60.0

Hello,
Redo the operation and try to manage your printer via the web interface http://PRINTERIP
You should be able to apply the settings.

The problem is that at the moment the ping to her isn't going through, so I can't administer it remotely via the web page.
Can you print the network configuration page once you have entered an IP address into the printer and send us a photo of that document?
Hello,
Personally, I set the IPv4 address to automatic on the printer.
And I didn't put it in the static leases on my Freebox.
For now, I don’t lose the address even after a shutdown. (Always turn it off with the power button and not by unplugging the printer)

I think it is indeed preferable to set the printer's address to automatic.
Your router will do the work for you and you will then get an IP that will be generated by your router.
It should be noted that if you use the IP that is in the example from the installation manual, it may not work.
A network consists of a range of IP addresses, when you are at home, two IP ranges are possible:
192.168.0.0 with an IP range from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254
192.168.1.0 with an IP range from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254
These ranges vary depending on the providers.
If you entered an IP such as 192.168.5.1, it will not work because it is not within the IP range, so you need to set an IP between 2 and 254.
Why do we start at 2?
The address 192.168.0.0 is assigned to the network.
The address 192.168.0.1 is assigned to your router.
A computer can therefore obtain the IP address 192.168.0.2.
If you want to set a fixed IP, I recommend choosing an IP that is unlikely to be used in a home network. Try using one of these two addresses:
192.168.0.40
192.168.1.40
For me to give you a more precise configuration, please send me a screenshot of your config:
To retrieve the configuration of your computer:
Windows+R
Type cmd
Type ipconfig /all
Take a screenshot of the Ethernet card.
