Snapchat: arrows, solid/empty squares, proofreading

Hello,
I'm new to Snapchat and I would like to know what the different squares in a message (red, blue, solid and empty) represent and how they differ from the arrows.
I also tried to reread a message that I had opened 2 times and it didn't open even though it was sent less than 24 hours ago.

Thank you.

    Hello

You can start with this mini recap:

For messages, if you don't keep them, you can't read them again...

    ;)
