Why am I losing pink hearts on Snapchat?

Hello,
My boyfriend and I had the two little pink hearts for 2 years. We talk to each other every day on Snapchat and we lost that emoji, yet neither of us is talking more (+) to anyone else in our Snapchat friends. We don't understand why we lost it when there's no reason for it. What should we do?
