    Optiextension.dll does not seem to exist, and there is nothing about it!!

      Hello jeanbern, thank you for replying on a Sunday, I spelled it correctly, it's a t. I didn't have it yesterday and the only thing I did was upload an image to a site like Pinterest.

      The Optiextension.dll seems not to exist
      is a bit categorical.
      There are probably millions of different dlls; just because you don't know it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

      A quick search shows some occurrences

      We find, among other things, a GitHub project presenting a newsletter, so it seems useful in that case.
      I think you can delete it.

      Hi,

      Yes, in terms of a DLL in the technical sense, it is absent.
      Now as for the suffix on an HTML page, I don't know! Probably some junk that might need to be scanned with Adw Cleaner to check?!!

      I don't understand this sentence. If it is not present on your PC, that's just because you haven't installed the software that uses it.

      Assuming that it is a copy of the one we see on URLs.
      Clearly, it regularly appears on URLs at the time of signing up for a newsletter. We can assume that it rather belongs on the server side. But a bug on a site may have triggered its download instead of displaying the signup page.

      Of course, it could be something else, and a scan is a precaution to take.
