Windows Media can't find my music Solved

Question

Hello,
I transferred music (mp3) from my USB stick to my computer, but unfortunately when I go to Windows Media it tells me that there is no music in the folders, even though when I look in the file explorer all the music is there.
If someone could help me, please.

Hello;

I suggest you do as indicated below if your albums are indeed in the music folder

1- Launch WMP
2- Organize tab (at the top left)
3- Click on the little arrow
4- Manage libraries >> Music on the right

5- In the window that opens, click on add and go to the location where the albums are stored and select them >> Include folder and Add >> OK, and normally WMP should recognize and import your albums

It's very surprising for a new machine ??
Are you sure about the correct format of your audio files?
Do you have the possibility to put one of your albums on another machine equipped with WMP to test?

Your WMP might have an issue and I suggest you do what is noted below

Clear the content of the WMP player before reorganizing it using the reorganize option (music or others)

Press the Windows key on the keyboard and R simultaneously
In the window that opens >> Type or copy/paste this:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player

and Enter
In the window, select all and delete
If error messages pop up: Click on Ignore.
Note: there will always be a file named CurrentDatabasexxx.wmdb >> this is normal as it cannot be deleted
The deleted files will be reset at the next restart of the player
This has the effect of "emptying" the database that contains the names of files played by Media Player and allows for a reorganization of the player

Restart the machine, launch WMP, and update by following the instructions in my previous message

And if still not okay, do what is noted below

1-Click on the Windows logo at the bottom left then Computer
2-Click on uninstall or change a program (at the top)
3-Turn Windows features on or off (See the left window)
4-A window opens >> Please wait .......
5-Look for Multimedia features
6-Uncheck the multimedia features box
7-Respond yes despite the warning and then wait ....
8-Restart the machine >> All multimedia functions have been disabled
9-Re-enable multimedia functions by following the same procedure as the disabling but by checking the multimedia features to repair them and everything should be okay in principle

If still not okay after all this, the problem should, in my opinion, be at the Windows level ?? but if this machine is new, also check with the seller of the machine...

If it’s a used machine, that changes everything!...
If after doing everything written above, it's still not okay, the solution would be to repair Windows but.......
