Hello

my Deskjet 2547 always starts by printing an "alignment" page with lots of characters and colors, which wastes very expensive ink. How can I permanently prevent this phenomenon?

    Hello,
You need to use this alignment page to align the print head using the machine's scanner, as noted in the documentation that came with the printer.
You have probably changed the cartridges, and thus, an alignment page is automatically printed when you reuse the printer.
    Best regards.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me promptly.

It’s already quite unfortunate, but why does this happen several times?

Is there really no way to ensure this doesn’t happen at all?

In principle, once you have aligned the print head with the printed page, you should no longer have any alignment page.

Same for me. I changed a print head and since then, after each print job, I automatically get a test page printed. Waste of ink and paper? No way to stop it....
