Hello,

For the past 3 months, whenever I turn on my Philips TV (Model: 49PUS7809/12 Ambilight PH Philips), I get a Security Warning message that says the following:

Security warning

The SSL security certificate could not be verified for s.tf1.fr
This means that you cannot be certain that you are connecting to the real server

You can choose to continue to use this website at your own risk

Continue anyway - do not continue

The issue I am encountering is that I cannot select anything at all. The only way for the message to disappear is to turn the TV off and on again each time. It's really annoying........

I also want to inform you that I do not have the HbbTV or Hbtvn function in the "Options" menu to disable it.

Can you provide me with a solution to stop this from happening?
Thank you for your response.

Best regards.

    Good evening,

    Approximate but understandable Google translation:
    Security warning

SSL security could not be verified for s.tf1.fr
This means you cannot be sure you are connecting to the real server

You may choose to continue using this site at your own risk

Continue anyway - do not continue

From what I have read, this TV is a so-called "smart" TV, so internet access, for me the easiest thing is to disconnect it from the internet and the error message will no longer appear.

    SSL security →https://www.ovh.com/fr/ssl/fonctionnement-ssl.xml

I might be a bit revolutionary towards new technologies, but for me, a TV is not a PC; everything has its clearly defined role even if some argue that we need to evolve.

I agree that we need to evolve, but evolution has its limits; passing off a TV as a PC is unparalleled absurdity, resulting in many people complaining about the malfunctions of their devices. A PC is a PC and nothing else, a TV is a TV and nothing else, a home cinema is a home cinema and nothing else, and so on.

I also have a TV that could be connected but I do nothing with it and have never had an issue. I have a home cinema that can access the net but likewise, its use remains in the realm of image and sound, just like my little Blu Ray/DVD player, and my gaming console.

I have never had any issues of this sort because I stick to using these devices for the role they were originally designed for and nothing else.

Best regards and have a good evening ;-)

      Hello,
A Smart TV doesn't necessarily serve to go on the internet but mainly to receive channels like Netflix without needing a second decoder for a second TV, to watch YouTube on a larger screen, to access replays without a second decoder or TV stick.... Furthermore, the reception quality can be better than going through a decoder on ADSL.... I have two smart TVs and I have never gone on the internet with them..... I couldn't do without them anymore...
      Have a nice day
