Hello, I have an Excel form that works with macros. I need to put it on tablets so that it can be used mobile. I bought a Samsung tablet for testing. Excel is pre-installed. Everyone has their own opinion, I find that you (Raymond PENTIER) have a very fixed view and that you look down on others a bit. Maybe you have never been on a production line. It didn’t seem unreasonable to me to provide my inspectors with a tablet rather than a computer for several reasons: size, weight, mobility, transport, and we have bodies like the CHSCT that scrutinize everything we provide. If they consider it too heavy, ill-suited, that it causes a bad posture, etc., they can block projects.
But maybe you are far removed from all that.

I agree with Raymond's statements, the Android tablet remains a gadget, it's not a tool equipped with a processor powerful enough to run programs like Excel.

"Size, weight, mobility, transport" are not valid differentiating criteria: there are detachable touchscreen laptops equipped with powerful processors.

The problem isn't really the tablet; it's very likely powerful enough to run a dedicated application. The issue is wanting to use the power of Excel and its macros for such a small need. As Raymond puts it, it's like wanting to transport a steamroller with an ambulance!

Hello,

an Android tablet only supports the free (and limited) version of Excel, and even then, only if it has a screen < 10.1'

Hello, In my company, I have installed tablets that support Excel and especially its macros, but I had to go through Windows Surface Pro tablets, and it works perfectly.

The Surface Pro is a laptop that doubles as a tablet (sic Microsoft), nothing like a Samsung tablet!!!

A tablet is not really a computer.
You cannot open a file with macros on a tablet.
