It's funny, in this link it explains that it's possible. I tried his method of saving the email to the home screen, opening it in Notepad, and changing the date, and it worked so far. But the only thing I couldn't do was put the email back in the inbox.

Morally, I find this method dishonest and I wouldn't even bother to test it to see if it works.
