Hello,
I would like to know how to invalidate an invoice in EBP Business Management Pro

Hello Lolo,

If it is a 2018 version, following the law coming into effect on January 1st, it has been established that it is impossible to delete or modify an invoice once validated.
The Unvalidate button no longer exists.

In case of an error on an invoice, whatever it may be, you must create a credit note.

  Yes, in fact, the Delete button is still there but only works on so-called temporary invoices (not validated).
  If you click on it, it will give you a message saying that it is impossible to delete a validated invoice.
  
  The only option today is to issue a credit note, whether you have a date error, content error, or even just a misplaced accent on the client's name.

personally I keep the same invoice number and add an A (for credit) at the end of the number
it stays filed like that

  Indeed xplom, the credits have a different chronology (and numbering). It’s an elegant way for you to handle the credits.
  However, I’m not sure if credit invoices should follow the same rule of number continuity. To be checked!

    the invoice date of 1111A is chronologically wrong (credit note) but it’s just below 1111
    
    unless the balance sheet date is exceeded! etc... (I can already hear the boss explaining to me in complicated terms the why and how)

  AS44410, in EBP your credit invoices follow a different numbering system. They have their own numbering which by default starts with AV (AV0001, AV0002, ...).

As a small business owner, these software programs are difficult to access when you're not used to them. They've almost become mandatory over time. I don't have a cash register to manage and shouldn't be hindered by this overly restrictive law. It's outrageous. Therefore, to avoid having unmanageable accounting at the end, I create orders that I send to clients in the form of pro forma invoices, then I transfer them to final billing. You need to take the time to set up templates

I'm sending this message in case you, like me, have a small business. Because this law is unfair. Of course, you can't use this if you're not self-employed.

  Hi xplom. Thank you for your reply. Yes, I agree to delete, but I can't delete an invoice in the middle of the year, so I'll transfer the orders to invoices at the end of the fiscal year. Otherwise, I don't see what you're trying to tell me.

Hello,

I was in the process of preparing my invoices for March, and I made a mistake; an invoice that should have been for March 11 was mistakenly dated May 6. EBP won't let me continue with my invoices from March 11; it won't validate them and insists that I set the dates to May 6 or later, but I don’t want to! March is March, and it goes into my accounting.

I created my credit note, but they won’t let me validate an invoice unless it's dated after May 6.

Help please.

  There is no going back. An invoice with final numbering cannot be deleted. To comply with the law, invoices must follow an ascending chronological order in both numbers AND invoice dates.
  Therefore, no invoice can be generated with a date prior to the date of the previous invoice.
  A credit note won't change anything.
  
  Unless you have a backup from before the creation of invoice 195, all your invoices will be from May or later.

  Concretely, can I create a new company account folder? Link it with my EBP accounting? Re-enter all my invoices from January, February, March, not transfer them to my accounting (since they are already there) and continue to issue my invoices from March 11, then transfer them to accounting at that point, or ditch EBP XD

  I just saw that I have backups from different days (sorry I'm just starting out) I might be able to retrieve an old backup, it's in the form of a file with three books on top of each other. In the meantime, I've been in contact with EBP for 40 minutes now, they're going to blow my plan.

  I did a backup restoration! I restored a backup from February, so it's all good! For the novices, click on OPTION --- RESTORATION ---- first step back up the folder, second step ---- it shows you the same backup message: click next, then at one point there are three dots on the right, click on them and open an old backup (zip file), click next, then it will show you a message in a box, take the first solution. Then always click next, and it will show you the old backup, my invoices are from February, just have to redo 50 invoices before I made my mistake (which I won't do again Oo) thanks to Saif for his advice! hugs

Hello
I have been using EBP quotes and invoicing for 7 years. We updated it at the beginning of 2018.
Since then, I have a problem with my deposit invoices.
When I create a deposit invoice and validate it immediately, the payment is requested and approved.
But when I create my invoice and I want to link it to my deposit invoice, I get an error message stating that my deposit invoice is not settled.
Even though my client shows a balance of 0 on the deposit invoice in my payment list, in my deposit invoice list, it still shows that the balance remains due.
After the transfer to accounting, I can see the payment of my deposit in my accounts.
I didn't have this issue before the update.
Maybe someone has a solution.
