Renewing your tntsat card from abroad
Hello,
We are Italians who lived in France for a while. Before returning to Italy, to keep our French up, we bought a receiver and a TNTSAT card, and for 4 years we were able to watch French channels in Italy. Now that our card has expired, we discovered that we cannot receive the new card in Italy? Is that correct? Is there a way to receive the card at home? Thank you.

Hello,
The TNT channels on satellite are free but encrypted for broadcasting rights reasons.
The channels pay these rights for the French territory, but satellites have no borders...
There is no other solution than to go through a contact in France as broadcasters are not allowed to sell them outside the mainland...
However, some online retailers sell them but at a high price...
That’s why on this forum for expatriates, we recommend Fransat on 5° West as it offers an unlimited card.

Hello,
Until now, I have been renewing the cards online and having them delivered to an acquaintance in France. Now I need to renew them and it's impossible. I get a message saying that Canal+ is not available in my country (Spain). I'm afraid that if someone does it for me, I won't be able to use them here... Long live Europe... nothing but obstacles.
Hello,
As already mentioned, the broadcasting rights are paid by the channels for France only but the satellite doesn't give a damn about borders.
"Message saying that Canal+ is not available in my country"
It is obvious that if you contact them from Spain, you get this kind of dissuasive response.
It is your contact in France who needs to make the request online.
had fancat for 4 years after a short period, it stopped working, how can you say it is unlimited
I wrote this in 2017 and since then, things have changed; the card is no longer unlimited but needs to be renewed every 4 years for €15 in order to combat piracy.
