Hello,
I have a friend who wants to sell her computer, an Acer, running on the Vista version of Windows (yes, it feels a bit old). To prepare it for sale, I thought it would be enough to enter the BIOS and format the C:\ hard drive. But all of this remains fuzzy and is a bit more complicated than I thought. After all this time, the recovery CD is lost, so forget that idea.
I would really appreciate some tips and advice on how to restore this computer to factory settings and erase all the content from the C:\ and D:\ drives.
Thank you in advance for any responses, and I wish you a good day!

Hello,
Laptop or desktop? On a laptop, there is always a function that allows for factory reset in just a few clicks...-

Can you list the steps to restore the PC knowing that there are no important data on the PC, so there is no need to make a backup? Also, there is a part that says to transfer the hidden factory settings from the hard drive to an optical disc (CD or DVD, I believe); is this manipulation really necessary? Thank you again for answering my somewhat numerous questions :)
