Can you charge a JBL Flip3 with the jack input?

Hello, I charged my JBL Flip 3 speaker the wrong way and forced it, resulting in the mini USB port being broken and I can no longer charge it.

Can it be charged using the jack input with adapters...? It's very frustrating to have a working speaker but no longer able to charge it, the repair shops tell me it would cost €70 to fix, which is the purchase price...

Finally, if it's impossible to charge it with the jack input, is it possible to gain something from the spare parts?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,
No, you can't charge through the jack plug which is an audio input, don't even try, you'll fry everything..;;-(
If you're handy, you can try to dismantle it and locate the two wires (red and black usually) that come from the mini USB and go to the battery to recharge it with 5 volts:
https://www.amazon.fr/UGREEN-Chargeur-Universel-Adaptateur-Alimentation/dp/B00TARPQ08/ref=sr_1_3/260-1083081-5978764?ie=UTF8&qid=1498484733&sr=8-3&keywords=chargeur+5+volts
You connect the red wire in the hole at the center of the plug, the black wrapped around the ground at the back of the plug...
As for the parts, you can try posting an ad on the auction site or on the classifieds specifying that the USB is broken, it might interest a DIYer
