Connect a Technics hi-fi system to a smartphone.
Hello,
I want to listen to my music through a Technics hi-fi system with my phone. It works, but the sound is very poor and crackles. The system is a 30-year-old Technics. Could this be due to the cables? Or something else?
Thank you for your answers
Configuration: iPhone / Safari 10.0

Hello,
Your phone has a headphone jack (female 3.5mm) and your amplifier should have an RCA input
Have you bought a jack-to-RCA cable like this one? :

You plug the jack into the phone's headphone output and the other end into the RCA input of the system, which you will switch to this input
The phone's volume should not be too high => input saturation of the system => sound distortion, you need to find a balance to be above the noise floor but not saturate
