Hello,
I have a strange problem since yesterday, which could become very annoying if I don't find a solution...
My computer (running Windows 10) can connect to wireless networks without any issues, and when I run diagnostics or troubleshoot, it finds nothing, everything is normal. However, no matter which browser I use (Chrome, Firefox, Explorer), I can no longer search Google or connect to any other sites other than YouTube and Gmail! And I don't quite understand the problem...
I figured this was coming from my PC and not the connection, since I'm also connected with my phone and everything works perfectly. When I try to perform a search or click on a link on my computer, however, it tells me that it took "too long to respond" (internet connection error message), without actually saying that I'm not connected...
And since I need to work online with my documents, this has quickly become a big problem. I've only had this issue since yesterday and I haven't installed any software in the meantime.
I also want to point out that I receive notifications in the bottom right corner of my screen (Facebook, YouTube all that), but clicking on them results in the same problem (except for YouTube strangely).
I'm now attempting a system restore, but other than that, is there another solution you might suggest? I can't afford to reset it because that would mean going back to Windows 8...
Thank you in advance for your replies.

Hello,
You can reset your PC for free and legally while staying on Windows 10 by going to: Start > Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > (under Reset this PC click) Get started (administrator rights required)

Then choose to keep your files or remove everything and reinstall Windows completely (if it asks for a license during the installation, ignore that step (activation will happen automatically at the end of the Windows 10 installation process..)
For more details, feel free to contact me again...

Have a nice afternoon

Thank you for the response, Capthor, but I would much prefer to find a solution where I don’t have to reset my PC. I have my whole life on it, and having to reinstall everything and back it up would be even more complicated than this Internet issue...
By the way, I also tried resetting my security settings, disabling the firewall or the antivirus, but that didn’t help.

Are you on Wi-Fi or Ethernet???

I am on Wi-Fi and I have no way to connect via Ethernet, even though it would have allowed me to see things even clearer.

Have you tried reinstalling the Wi-Fi driver?

Well, I had started a restoration and it seems to have worked!
I'm not really sure what the issue was, but it's possible that this could happen again someday...
Nevertheless, thank you for your help!
