No strings during the automatic search

Question

Hello,

So here's the deal: I'm in a newly renovated apartment, I connected the antenna socket to my TV and started searching for channels, but it doesn't work.

Then, my landlord came with his equipment (decoder + TV) pre-set in the neighboring apartment or directly on the antenna, I don't know, he connected it using my antenna cable and it worked.
So I bought a TNT decoder (CGV etimo stl-2), I connected it as stated in the manual (via HDMI), I launched the channel search, and it didn't find anything.

Then I brought a friend with his TV (which works perfectly at his place with the antenna socket or a decoder) and during the channel search with my decoder and also just with the direct antenna connection, it still doesn't work. Can someone help me?

The TV is a Samsung UE32F5000.

"My landlord came with his equipment (decoder + TV)" And what type of decoder was it? Maybe it was cable distribution? Did you try to scan on your TV (cable antenna directly connected) but using the cable tuner? (DVB/C)  I call a spade a spade *      *in French in the text

Hello,
What's curious is that your TV is equipped with an Mpeg4 tuner, so it's compatible with HD terrestrial television and doesn't require an external decoder... but perhaps this tuner is having issues...
-When you start the search on the TV, have you correctly selected terrestrial digital TV (Digital TV or DTV)
-On the external adapter, are you connecting to "ant IN" and not "OUT"
-Is your coaxial plug up to the new standard of 9.52 mm (typically blue) and not the old 9 mm (typically green)

Yes, it's curious...
In TV mode, I have the choice between the antenna or decoder box, is it the same thing? I will check again, but I believe I'm on DTV since
The adapter is plugged into ant IN and the plug is indeed the new standard (and it works with its equipment)

To search on TV, you need to select antenna, of course, and to use the external CGV adapter, you need to switch the TV to the HDMI input it is connected to, and you should then see the home screen.

That's exactly what I did, I have the home screen. But during the search, it finds nothing. Normally it's pretty basic, it's just a simple HDMI connection..

I didn’t really pay attention, he told me it was a basic decoder bought in a store for around thirty euros.
A cable distribution, I don’t know...

I’m not sure if I tried that, but I tried a lot of possibilities, it’s not labeled the same way on my TV. I’ll look in early afternoon to see if I find something that resembles it (DVB/C).

I tried my TV at my parents' place, and it works very well, the decoder does too. So I don't understand why when he comes with his pre-set decoder it works, and when I use mine or my TV, it doesn't work.
