My internet connection settings are blocking the Java installation.

Hello,

I uninstalled Java and then wanted to reinstall it, but… nothing happens, no window opens after I enter my parental control code.
However, I was lucky enough to get a window to appear after many attempts saying: "The installer cannot work with the current internet connection settings. For more information, visit the following site: Java Help
But I haven't found a solution, so I'm writing here

My device: netbook / Windows 7 / all important Windows updates are done / firewall blocked

    If you have a 64-bit Windows:
    Download and install both offline Java versions.
    See --> here
    In the window
    Check --> Accept license
    For 32 bits --> jre-8u121-windows-i586.exe (Windows x86 Offline)
    For 64 bits --> jre-8u121-windows-x64.exe (Windows x64)

      Yes, that's it, however I opened it with administrative rights and then after a whole night of waiting and probably some luck because I had already done this before, a Java window opened and the installation took place. Thank you.
      Another problem then arose from my game: Minecraft. I have already written this in another post (Yeah, I'm losing my patience, it's been 1 month since I had Java).

    Have you checked for infection?
    Open a topic in the virus/security forum and make a request for a check.

    Comment:

    The Java installer, at least the default one, downloads the installation program from the internet.

    From your description, the parental control is messing things up and doesn't allow the installer to connect:

    However, I was fortunate to get a window that appeared after many attempts saying: "The installer cannot operate with the current internet connection settings. For more information, visit the following site: java help.

    It's strange that what you were instructed to do earlier: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-34480524-mes-parametres-de-connexion-internet-bloque-l-installation-java#3
    doesn't solve the problem since it's a complete installer.

    Have you tried disabling parental control?
    Are you on an administrator session?

    On another note, in your other message, you seem to want to run Minecraft.
    Java doesn't need to be installed for that.
    Minecraft comes bundled with Java.

      Hi,
      First of all, thank you for your response, and I'm writing this just after reading your message, so I haven't yet done what you asked regarding viruses or parental control.
      To answer your questions, I am on a non-administrator session (I have already tried with the administrative session, but the same problem persists), but I open Minecraft and all other programs as an administrator.
      Furthermore, the bug with the crash report (regarding the other question) occurs with Minecraft but also with other software like Eclipse.

      I am using a Minecraft launcher that probably needs Java, but with the official version, no window opens either (it's visible in the task manager, of course --> processes).
      Finally, I have also downloaded Avast to ensure there are no viruses or anything else, and apparently, there aren't any. Well, Avast may not be the best, but it's better than nothing.
      I will send you another response with my answers to your questions and with the TutoFRST.

      you also have a variable that points to a Java7 while your application is running with Java8:

        Could you explain the problem with the memory sticks?
        Indeed, I installed Java v7 because I was advised to, but with a version of Java 8 the problem remains the same (Well, maybe not for this line ..)
        And yes, I am a college student user because my computer was given to my parents for me by the general council of Oise, so my computer is old, crappy, and I don’t have all the permissions..
