Hello,
I am using Windows 8.1, connected to my HP 8615 printer (cable). When I want to print a document, I click on print, a window opens, and sometimes I have a problem because in the dropdown menu, there are previous printers that no longer exist. This causes me issues. My question is the following: can we remove these previous printers from the dropdown menu in the "print" window? And if so, how should I proceed? This would be very helpful for me.
Thank you for your responses.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 56.0.2924.87

Hello,

If your printers no longer exist, you can remove them from the control panel.

In the control panel, I have already deleted them; I'm talking about the dropdown menu.

Good evening,

I am talking about the dropdown menu
Which dropdown menu?
If it's in the print panel, you don't have the printers uninstalled.

When I click on "print," a window opens, and there is a dropdown menu at the top right, where it says "printer": you have a dropdown menu where the installed printers appear, along with other options... "send to OneNote" if I remember correctly... etc. That's where I would like to delete the printers.

If you have uninstalled the printers, they are no longer in this menu.
If you do not want some of them, you need to uninstall them.

In my control panel, I simply right-clicked and deleted each printer that no longer existed, and reinstalled the new one. So how do you "uninstall" a printer when it appears in the control panel? I just deleted it, so if I understand correctly, it shouldn't have been done like that? So they still appear in the drop-down menu.........?

Wasn't it supposed to be done like that?
This is indeed the correct method, and if "they still appear in the dropdown menu," there must be something fishy going on because the operation you describe is absurd.

Which Windows system are you using?

I don't know; I connected my HP printer to my PC by cable, I followed the installation by using the HP CD and that's it.... it works well, it did before as well.... on that side, no problem.
