Hello,

For about two hours, Avast has been sending me a "threat blocked" alert approximately every 30 seconds, which is quite unbearable, regarding an infection: Win32:Binder-DL.
I'm not very good with computers, but after visiting a couple of sites, this virus doesn't seem nice at all.
I've downloaded Spybot, but it didn't help at all.

Is there an easy (and free) way to get rid of it?

Thank you!

PS: Asus R558U, Windows 10, Intel Core i5.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 50.0

    Hello,

If you could indicate the detected file, that would be nice
    then:

Follow the FRST tutorial. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).

Download and run the FRST scan, 3 FRST reports will be generated:
    • FRST.txt
    • Shortcut.txt
    • Additional.txt

Send these 3 reports to the site http://pjjoint.malekal.com/ and in return give the 3 pjjoint links leading to the reports here in a new response so that we can consult them.

Thank you for your quick response, Malekal!

I don't know which file was detected; Avast gives me three tabs: object, infection, and process. The latter is C:\programfiles\bytefence\rsenginehelper.exe

    Here are the FRST reports

    FRST -- http://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=FRST_20170119_d13d5w14i13p11

    Addition -- http://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=20170119_10c12g6j12n10

    Shortcut -- http://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=20170119_h11u12z11o11n12

    Thank you!

You got tricked by an installer: InstallCore.
    You installed unnecessary programs.

    Disable Avast! protection.

    Go to the Control Panel
    then Programs and Features,
    Uninstall all of that
    ByteFence Anti-Malware
    McAfee WebAdvisor (unnecessary)
    Opera Stable
    Spybot (completely ineffective)
    WinThruster

Apparently Avast is no longer going off every thirty seconds, thanks for the help!

    You're welcome :)

    Some advice:

    To avoid being caught again.
To read - Malware programs / PUPs: File on Adwares/PUPs: unwanted and parasite programs
(Especially enable LPI detections to identify parasite and adware programs)
