Hello, for some time now I haven't been able to install Windows Update updates, in fact, an error code 8024402c appears.

I must have caught something.

Also, in regedit HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/SOFTWARE/POLICIES/MICROSOFT/.... I no longer have Windows Update.
The Windows Update diagnostics tool doesn't work, AdwCleaner, the KB3125574 update, nothing helps.
In the Windows Update diagnostic tool, I have an error message: 0X8024402C (2016-12-21-T-12_06_54) not fixed.

Run an sfc.
Go to start
All programs
Accessories
Right-click on --> command prompt
Choose --> run as administrator and confirm
Type --> sfc /scannow and hit enter.

A system file check will take place.

Try a repair with Windows Repair

  Thank you, I cannot download Windows Repair, an error message indicates:
  Check your internet connection.
  If you have a firewall, disable it or add an exception.
  So I disabled the firewall, but nothing works, still the same message. I added an exception for Reimage PC, but that didn't work either.

Download this --> WinUpdateFix

Run it
In the services, check that everything is started and is set to automatic
In selection, click on All and Run
Restart the pc.

I am not an expert in disinfection.

Restart by tapping F5 or F8
Choose --> safe mode

When you reach the desktop
Go to --> C\windows
Rename the folder --> SoftwareDistribution by adding .old
It should result in --> SoftwareDistribution.old
Restart the PC.

Go to Windows Update and check for updates.
