IMAP server connections on ports have timed out Solved

Hello,
I keep receiving this window that says the connections to the server "Imap.gmail.com" on the default ports have expired.
What should I do?

Hello,

How do you access your mail: directly through the GMail website or through a messaging app (Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.)?
If it's through a messaging app:
- open the menu that displays the app's preferences (e.g., for Apple Mail, go through the menu "Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Advanced")
- choose port 993, check the SSL option, and set the "Authentication" parameter to "External (TLS client certificate)"
