Removing LiveBox voicemail

Question

Hello,

I recently purchased the Livebox. When someone wants to leave me a voicemail, they reach the Livebox's answering machine. However, I am not notified of the arrival of the messages. As for being notified by email, I don't turn on my computer frequently enough to check them quickly.

Is there a way for the messages left to go through my phone's answering machine instead of the Livebox's? If not, how can I be notified of incoming messages on my phone?

I had the same messaging issue, so I contacted 3900 to express my dissatisfaction. After half an hour of negotiation, they finally gave me a workaround that, once I got home, turned out to not work!!!! In fact, it was an internet user who found the solution....

To completely disable the voicemail on my unlimited Orange phone line (connected to the Livebox), I picked up my phone and dialed the following number *241, and miracle of miracles, a voice simply announced that the call forwarding to the voicemail had been disabled... Don’t tell me they didn’t know this at Orange!!!!!!

I have the same problem as you and after spending 1 hour on the internet searching for a solution in forums, the only remedy I found is to set the livebox answering machine to 20 seconds (the maximum) and to adjust your phone's answering machine to trigger earlier... but it still doesn't leave much time to answer (3 rings...)

First of all, please know that I don't know anything about computers!!!
I have the livebox (I think that's what it's called), but I still have my subscription every month with France Télécom (no unlimited calls).
I bought a new landline phone with a voicemail, and even though I've recorded my new greeting, when I do a test and try to leave a message on my landline, it's my France Télécom voicemail that takes over, not my "real" voicemail at all.

If you are blocked with the France Telecom voicemail, here is the procedure to adjust the number of rings: GUARANTEED RESULT, I have tested it!  By default, the Voicemail is activated after 5 rings.  You can modify this number of rings from your landline. Hello everyone,

As for extending the number of rings before being redirected to the livebox voicemail (which you can indeed check by dialing 888 from your phone),
there is also a very simple way to do it from your internet customer account (so unless you prefer, there's no need to do the *610* manipulation...).

So, you go to your "customer area"
then the link "my internet account"
then the link on the left side of the screen "my unlimited phone" (here you will be asked to identify yourself again for verification)
On the new "my unlimited phone" page, you will see Redirect my calls
with several pieces of info below (including the number of seconds after which you are redirected:
by default 15 seconds as we have all noticed lol)
=> you click on the "modify" link.
And there with the drop-down menu, you can simply choose the number of seconds (like with the *610... manipulation mentioned above but simpler in my opinion).

It's very easy and apparently works every time.
No more rushing to answer.

First of all, I never had time to answer the phone, especially if I was in another room. Furthermore, several people called and went directly to voicemail without it ringing on my end, even though I was there and my phone is not the problem. I just called FT, and after talking to 3 people on the phone and spending 10 minutes, I was told to dial 3203, then choose 2 and 4... in fact, the number was wrong, it was 888!!!! To prevent the Orange voicemail from starting, I found the following solution:  1. go to the "Orange portal" then "customer space", then "Internet Account" 2. in "configure my voicemail" check "simple mode"  3. go back to "Customer space", then to "Internet Account", then "My phone over the Internet" 4. in "redirect my calls" click on "modify" 5. then check "redirection on no answer and on busy" 6. for "in case of no answer after" set it for 6 rings  Configure your voicemail to trigger after 5 rings (at least one less than the Orange voicemail)  I just did it at home and it works!

After reading a lot of suggestions on the forum, here's what I just did to set up the voicemail triggering for my Livebox landline and it works:  I pick up my handset, wait for the dial tone and dial: *610*9 followed by the pound key.  I hear: Your request has been accepted and recorded.  I hang up the handset and after testing, my FT voicemail indeed triggers after 9 rings.  You can also set it to between 2 and 9 rings. Just replace the number 9 with the desired number of rings, followed by the pound key. Best regards.

Having changed my phone with (Livebox internet), I got one with its own answering machine because their messages only reached me the next day or the day after with their answering service. I called them to remove their answering service and it was chaos... I felt like I was asking for the moon or the impossible... 1/ I increased the number of rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in by proceeding as follows: (and this on my landline and not on my ADSL line) that is to say from a 01,02,03,04 etc...

DIAL *610* followed by the number of seconds before the voicemail kicks in from your landline
thus you get

*610*10# (which means 2 rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in)
*610*15# (which means 3 rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in)
*610*20# (which means 4 rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in)
*610*25# (which means 5 rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in)
*610*30# (which means 6 rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in)
*610*35# (which means 7 rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in)
*610*40# (which means 8 rings before the Orange voicemail kicks in)

A small voice lets you know that your settings have been successfully taken into account

Personally, I chose *610*40# so 8 rings or 40 seconds before the Orange voicemail kicks in

2/I just had to set my phone from its menu to 18 seconds.

The values for the voicemail activation delay of your own phone are generally standardized
namely (immediate, 10 sec, 18sec, 30sec, automatic)

on a SIEMENS landline (menu ok, voicemail ok, call receiving ok, 18sec ok)

So to summarize: currently my phone rings about 5 times before my personal voicemail triggers, which I find is quite sufficient.

PS: for elderly people, I would recommend *610*40# from your 01,02,03,04 phone, followed by setting this phone to a delay of 30 sec.

There you go, this is what I found to be best, hoping this little tutorial can help you, and that it's not too complicated.

Hello.  This happens to me quite regularly; I've found that the solution is to simply unplug the Livebox for three seconds and then plug it back in. Everything goes back to normal.  You might say that this isn't normal and that it shouldn't disconnect by itself, but I've resolved this issue this way to recover the phone via the Livebox.  So, unplugging and then plugging back in the Livebox, and your phone will start working again; it's safe for the rest of the installation.

YOU GO TO YOUR PHONE MENU. - ANSWERING MACHINE - RINGTONES - and tap on 4 or 3. (it's up to you to decide). Since the answering machine ringtones are lower than those of the Orange Voicemail, the ANSWERING MACHINE IS ACTIVATED.
