    https://www.mesopinions.com/petition/

Is it all over? Have you seen the announcement on Peekton's website stating that they won't do anything?
Is there still any hope despite these so-called security excuses?
    They really tricked us!!!!!!!

This response from Peekton seems completely senseless to me.

To drown the fish or to drown the Peekton?

Some users have managed to achieve the result we are looking for (transfer in both directions via Wi-Fi) through some tweaks.

I don't understand why Peekton is hiding behind this security problem.

    Hello everyone,
I also have a peekbox 4 but I can't connect to my PC. On the peekbox, I can see my PC appearing under the HD, but when I try to access it, it says access denied.
    A little help please
    Thank you in advance

You say: "I didn't sign the petition, it seems that the PB4 MK2 is being prepared, and I don't know of any company that has backed down in the face of a petition when a similar product is about to hit the market!"
    Beware, Buddha has spoken!
Well, you should have signed that petition ... because I agree with Patate34, that's how you make things happen. Do you think it's normal not to be able to progress in reading a piece? And the concept of "jukebox" that remains completely enigmatic? I'm only talking about basic things that have existed for over 20 years on CD players. We're not even talking about Wi-Fi connection ... Let me also teach you something else that you probably overlook: Given that the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound, you are the kind to seem smarter before you open your mouth!
And to quote your words: I hope the interpretation of my syntax is clear enough for you.
PS: I signed your petition, Patate34 (thank you for making it available to me)

      hello,
'attention boudha spoke': do you have something against my nickname?! or worse against the Buddhist religion?! well, that's not the subject...
what escapes me is not the quote that you proudly found and that you think applies to me; it's that you tell me what I should do, namely that I should have signed this petition.
I can't believe you came to the forum to tell me what I have to do.
Did I say that I contested your petition? I don't think so. Better yet, I understand your frustration as I mentioned in the first post I wrote (n°30). I just said, and I repeat, that some people were responding off-topic regarding the issue raised and were insisting that we sign the petition.

I can respond sarcastically to your reading problem if you want; if you want to advance the reading of a piece, a tip: you can cut out the part you don't like from your song before transferring it to the box^^.

Thank you for the tribute you pay me by using my words, but your sentence makes no sense: 'I hope the interpretation of my syntax is clear enough for you', a clear interpretation???? You probably meant: 'I hope my syntax is clear enough for you', to which I respond: yes, thank you, it is clear.;)

Once again, I say that for those who have a problem with connecting their PB to their PC (file sharing from the PC to the PB), I may be able to help you. I’m keeping an eye on this topic and I'm at your disposal.

Houla ... I think you’re making a big confusion! I have nothing against your nickname and even less against Buddhism or any forms of religion. You said earlier: "For those who pollute the forums with their petition, please read and understand the problem at hand before posting nonsense." In terms of subtlety, tolerance, and zen-like calmness ... anyway! I foolishly thought that the idea of a petition wasn’t so bad to move things forward and to have a more developed firmware to satisfy the most people. I even called the hotline (the number is in the documentation), they are very cool ... they understood the issue I had and took my contact details to "pass on" the information. A petition is simply expressing a request for corrections in the next update. If you have another solution, I’m all ears! And I’m not going to wait for the PB4 MK2 when I just bought the Peekbox 4. It seems to me that this is a forum about the Peekbox where all ideas are worth considering, and I prove it to you with a big THANK YOU for your valuable advice, I quote: "If you want to advance the playback of a piece, a tip: you can cut the part you don’t like from your song before transferring it to the box^^"! ... By spinning a vinyl on the index of one hand and moving across the grooves with a flint held in the other hand, maybe we could produce some sound ... even advance and access the pieces more easily. We’re making progress, we’re making progress ...

Yes, I clearly stated: 'For those who pollute the forums with their petition, please read and understand the issue at hand before posting nonsense.' I will re-explain why I said this: because people respond with things like 'thank you for spreading this petition: http://www.mesopinions.com/...' while the problem is not due to the firmware or the other reasons that you loudly proclaim. I don't say anything about topics where the cause is related to the petition. I fully understand that you want to make progress on these issues. It's honorable. I am completely open to this, but please understand me, as I explained in my first post, I was looking for a solution to my problem. I came across several topics where people had the same issue as me. And I often found responses like the one I quoted above, which annoyed me, hence my post in this forum that drew criticism. Of course, 'nonsense' does not apply to the petition but to the responses posted that were irrelevant to the issue at hand. I fully agree that we should try to gather a large number of signatures, but don't you think that in this topic alone, we talk more about the petition than the actual problem, which was initially: a user unable to configure the wifi of their peekbox? There are many unnecessary posts, including this one I am currently writing, that could be avoided and would significantly ease the search for solutions. A single post with the reason for the petition and its link is as effective as responses #9, #10, and #11 which, moreover, follow each other and are therefore redundant.
As for my advice, I responded 'in an IRONIC way', so take it with a grain of salt^^.
Finally, I hope I have been clear, my goal is not to upset anyone but rather to try to resolve their problem, thank you for your understanding.
Seriously, I congratulate you for your efforts, and I hope you achieve your goal.
Upon reflection, could there be a firmware compatibility with the PB4 MK2? This is a question, do not see it as a solution to that.
      Thank you for your kindness.

    Hello,
I'm resending my message because apparently, the first one didn't get posted on the forum :-(
I was saying that your idea about firmware compatibility with the PB4 MK2 (even if it's not a solution) is really great. I will call the hotline as soon as possible to get more information on the subject.
I will regularly lurk on the forum since I haven't "tested" the wifi yet... I have a feeling it probably won't work the first time. I will likely have some questions to ask you about this topic that you apparently know quite well. So I'll talk to you very soon, and have a good evening!

    Good evening,
I have encountered my first big problem with the peekbox! I transferred files to my peekbox and everything went well! I was able to watch movies and listen to mp3s. I wanted to make a second transfer, so I connected my peekbox to my PC via USB. During the transfer, I got an error message, and I couldn't continue the transfer... I reconnected my peekbox to my TV, and now nothing... my folders are nowhere to be found! My peekbox appears empty because when I right-click on the hard drive of the peekbox, I still see the 110 GB that I downloaded. Why can't I view anything when I connect my peekbox to my PC or TV? It seems empty in both cases. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance!

    Good evening,
do you remember the error message?
Are the hidden files displayed in the folders?
Try connecting the hard drive from the peekbox directly to the PC, that is to say, open the PB, remove the HDD and connect it as 'slave' to your PC (don't forget the jumper;)) and see if you can access the files.
For now, try that while I look to see if there's another way?
Is it the PB 4: 500 GB?

    Hi,
I searched and ultimately your problem seems similar to what is described in this topic:

    http://www.infos-du-net.com/forum/51417-10-fichiers-invisibles-prenant-place-disque

There’s a solution in there, I hope that’s it and that the solution works. ;)

Thank you very much for all this information!
To answer your questions: No, unfortunately I have no memory of the error message and Yes, it's a peekbox with a 500 GB hard drive. I will try your solution (opening the peekbox ...) which seems like a very good idea. However, I will wait to read the link of the topic you sent me to see if this solution might work. Thank you for that and for responding so quickly ;-)

    Good evening
I have configured the Wi-Fi, the connection is established and successful with my router, but
afterwards, I don't understand how to access my PC with the Peekbox or how to send data from my PC to the Peekbox via Wi-Fi
    thank you
    kind regards, Anthony
