Hello,

Hello,

I can't rename the sheets of a calc file
neither by right-clicking on the sheet name (the menu doesn't offer "rename")
nor by going through "format", "sheet" (rename and other items are grayed out, inaccessible)
Note: I don't have this issue with all my calc files... and I don't understand where it comes from
If you have the right path... THANK YOU!!!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 47.0

Hello,

Your document is protected tools/protect the document/sheet or document and on your submission document is checked and a password is required to unlock it.

Best regards

I would like to add that if you do not have the password, I refer you to the solution proposed by OOoForum.

Best regards

Good evening
maybe all the sheets are selected
Right-click on a tab > Deselect all sheets

Thank you for this suggestion.
I just tried, but no, the sheets were not selected.
Something else, maybe?.....

What happens when you try, is there an error message, is it grayed out or not taken into account...?

Like LibreOffice, Apache OpenOffice is a fork of OpenOffice.org.

The menu offers me, besides "copy...", only "select all sheets" and "sheet events".

Either you have protected your workbook, or you have macros...

Hello,
The workbook is not protected (I just checked for safety) and I have never used a macro...
The mystery at this stage remains unsolved...!
Does anyone have another hypothesis?

Put your file on cjoint.com and share the link here so we can test on our side.

This problem occurs if the workbook is (or has been) in XLS format.
The solution is to copy each sheet into a new file in ODS format.

Why hack MS-Office when there is a free solution?
Use OpenOffice

I've never had this issue, it's a strange behavior, and even if the file was saved in ods?

This file is several years old and was created directly in OpenOffice. Therefore, the problem does not come from a transfer from Microsoft Office....
