Listen to the music on your SD card

I just bought an SD card to put in my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, since I have no more available memory, but I can't listen to my music. It no longer appears in Play Music, so I consulted a forum that addressed this question. I downloaded Music Player as advised. However, since I couldn't transfer the music from my card to Music Player, I had to transfer it back to my phone. And I can't install Music Player on my card.
How can I listen to the music on my SD card?
