Sony Bravia Brightness Solved

Question

Hello, I'm reaching out to you because I'm a bit troubled. My Sony Bravia TV, which is a few years old, works well; however, the brightness is too high, making the colors very intense. I've tried adjusting the settings, but nothing works. Do you think this could be related to the panel of my TV? Just a few days ago it was working perfectly. Good evening,  Normally, on these TVs, there is a brightness setting in the TV menus... I would need the exact model, there are hundreds of Bravias...  -- Is this problem the same right upon startup or after some operating time?  -- It could be a backlight issue... which is external to the panel.  But if it involves LEDs or CCFL tubes… it's built into the panel... and nobody replaces that these days...!  --- How does this TV receive new HD channels...?

By unplugging the HDMI... the TV has nothing left.. But it's still possible to go into the TV's settings menus...  When browsing these menus, is the brightness normal or excessive as well, like when watching TV..??  This would mean that it's the Box's Decoder that sends a signal with too much brightness... through the HDMI, and the TV wouldn’t be at fault.  To be continued

Yes, but the technical people have service programs that allow access to technical menus that you don't have access to...  And in there, they adjust the currents, the matrices, the sync, etc. the colors... one by one, etc...  The LED power supply can also be misadjusted or dead, and it's not in the panel... and the price is not the same. You can't make claims like that... without someone coming to the field with their computer and measuring devices...  Or else, it's a seller (without scruples), not a technician...  It should also be known that a panel can be changed, it can be found on the internet... and the backlight can also be replaced... you need to see the price and compare.

It's true that it's not common... but with the screen reference we would have more options.  You seem willing to change your TV... be careful: in 2020 we're switching to DVB-T2 TV... it might become obsolete again...

Yes, just a remark... but the tile is the same.  Besides, with the actual reference of the tile, we would find more references because it must also exist in Philips and Samsung and other Oriental brands...
