Téléviseur Sharp
Solved
Hello,
I just bought a SHARP LC40CFE4042E TV with a satellite antenna port and an integrated MPEG4 decoder, and PCMCIA. Do I need a card, and if so, which one to receive free TNT HD channels? No seller or store has been able to answer, not even the manufacturer.
Thank you for your response
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 46.0.2486.0

For your information:
On satellites ('Astra for TNT SAT and Eutelsat 5° for Fransat), TNT channels are encrypted, but there is no subscription to pay since the card is valid for life for Fransat and needs to be renewed every 4 years for 15€ for TNT SAT, which also requires an external decoder.
These channels are encrypted for broadcasting rights reasons and are therefore reserved for the French territory, for which the channels pay these rights. Since satellites have no borders, it is possible for a French speaker to get equipment in France and receive the channels in another country... in principle, this is forbidden...
In terrestrial reception, the PCMCIA module can be used to avoid a decoder for Canal+ or the paid TNT channels (Paris première, etc.).
If you have good terrestrial reception, a simple antenna will suffice, but you can also equip yourself with a dish to receive, for example, clear channels on Astra and Hot Bird:
-TV5 Monde France / Belgium / Switzerland
-TV5 Monde Europe
-France 24 (French international news channel)
-i24 (Israeli international news channel)
-Euronews
-CCTV fr (Central China TV, generalist Chinese channel in French, very funny, you can learn Chinese there)
-Medi1: Moroccan private generalist channel
-Canal Algérie (often in French)
And of course a plethora of English, Spanish, German, Italian channels, CNN, etc...
