P8 Lite : Wifi Free "Network access denied" Solved

Question

Hello,

I bought a P8 Lite about 15 days ago.
So far, everything was fine, but since this morning, I can't connect to Wi-Fi like I used to.
It says "Network access rejected."
I've deleted and recreated the Wi-Fi access, restarted the phone, reset to factory settings...
Nothing works...
Yesterday it made me install a system update, that's the only change that happened before the problem.
The other devices that work on Wi-Fi are functioning fine at my place.

Does anyone have a solution?

I found it!!! My 2-year-old daughter had pressed a button on the modem (with the 2 arrows) and that was preventing my phone from connecting to the modem's Wi-Fi. I found a really cool video that explains how to fix the situation.

So it's not a phone problem :-D

For those who have the same problem, try refreshing your Wi-Fi. I'm with Free and I refreshed the Wi-Fi at: http://mafreebox.freebox.fr/  Hoping to have helped.

After a week of research on French, English, Spanish, and German forums, I finally found the miraculous solution that defies the laws of nature :)
1) restart your phone in recovery mode (volume up + power)
2) perform WIPE CACHE PARTITION
3) restart your phone
4) open the "Radio" app
5) plug in a headset (which will serve as an antenna) for 2 seconds
6) unplug the headset
7) disable and then enable the wifi

and there you go, it's done

Same issue with live box and P8 Lite which keeps entering incorrect WiFi password; the problem was the WPS. The P8 Lite has a hidden option: first enter the WiFi password, go to WiFi, at the bottom right select menu, then advanced settings, select WPS at the bottom, during the loading that starts, press the connectivity button on your box, there you go, your Chinese smartphone now speaks the same language as your box :-)

This topic is tagged as [resolved] but that is not the case if I'm not mistaken.
I've been having the exact same problem for two or three weeks now.
I have tested all the solutions proposed here, which can be found all over other forums, but nothing works. I also sent an email to Huawei support who asked me to restart my internet router (what a joke...).
So if you have the same problem, namely, the surrounding wireless networks are visible but access is denied for some unknown reason, that when the phone is "stuck" against the box, the Wi-Fi pairs magically; THERE'S NO NEED to reset your phone to factory settings, it is absolutely of no help.
At most the "wipe cache partition" suggested by @kaiseg would be the most useful but did not work for me.

When this problem appeared, I had just done a manual (but official) update of Android 6.0 EMUI 4.1.
I thought the problem came from there. After factory resetting (twice, the first time keeping the data and the other time a FULL WIPE), no improvement. I then reverted the P8 Lite back to Android 5.0 using the update.app packages provided by Huawei customer support.
I will continue my investigations into this situation (quite frustrating, I must admit). Hoping to find something quickly or that someone more adept will manage to resolve it before me.

I registered on purpose because I had the same issue; a solution worked for me. You need to go to the phone settings:
Data flow management
Mobile hostpost
Enable the networks you need

Hello,
I have the same problem as everyone else; even when plugged into the box it doesn't work... well, it worked twice for two seconds... I tried the previous fixes but nothing worked! I bought it in July so it really frustrates me, there must be an issue with the P8 lite and Honor5 (I have a P8 lite). I think I'm going to go to Boulanger where I bought it but I'm doubtful they'll find anything...
Does anyone have another idea for the problem?
