Need your feedback on drivermax

Hello,

I would like to have some information regarding the Drivermax software; is it reliable? Indeed, I have an old HP LaserJet 4000 PCL 5 printer, it is still usable, it was working very well on W7 when I had installed a driver.

Now, my (desktop) PC is very old, and I am considering buying a new PC with Windows 8.1. Unfortunately, I can't find the driver on the HP site; apparently, it is not compatible, and I was advised to install DriverMax. But I am not sure if it is reliable; can it recognize my printer? And how do I use it?

Go to the link, and you just have to choose the operating system.

Thank you very much, Jarod, it seems to be good, unfortunately I won’t be able to try it before next week because the new PC W 8.1 hasn’t arrived yet. I just bought it and it hasn’t been delivered yet. Could I keep you updated as soon as it arrives? In the meantime, could you explain to me exactly what I need to do, for example, once the new PC is set up, I connect my new PC to my printer and install this driver, is that right?

Since I know nothing about computers, it’s better for me to gather information to avoid making a mistake, thank you very much anyway.
